I had my hip replacementoperation at the Gatehead Centre on 8 March 2010. I was treated with every care and consideration by everyone involved-not only by Mr Nanu and his surgical team, but also by everyone concerned in my aftercare during my 3 night stay in hospital. I cannot thank you enough for what was a positive and happy experience and one which I woul not be nervous to repeat if the need arose!

All aspects of my stay in the surgery centre from the surgeon to the anaesthetist, nurses, staff and physio, all helped to make it a positive helpful and painless experience. I thank you all most sincerely.

I could not have had better treatment anywhere than I had a Gateshead and Sunderland Hospitals and cannot thank Mr Green enough. He is a perfect gentleman and a wonderful surgeon.

I had my left totaol hip replacement on 18/5/09. I knew what to expect for my right total hip replacement on 1/10/09 and I was not disappointed everybody from the surgeon to the cleaners treated me excellently.

I don’t like hospitals period and was dreading going in for my op, but the care and attention I was shown was fantastic from the surgeon down to the cleaners, everyone was helpful as they could be. The hospital and all the staff were superb throughout my stay. I need my other knee operated on but I don’t have any worries about it if I’m going back to Gateshead.
